Description 


The Capillary Flow Porometer provides fully automated through-pore analysis including bubble point, pore size distribution, mean pore size, gas, liquid, and Frazier permeability, hydro-head, and integrity. PMI’s Capillary Flow Porometer is versatile -- it allows the user to test samples under compression, tension, or elevated temperature, thereby simulating operating conditions. User-friendly and non-destructive, the Capillary Flow Porometer is an asset in quality control and R&D environments.

Applications / Features


Industries worldwide, ranging from the filtration to non-wovens to battery industries, utilize the Capillary Flow Porometer for R&D and quality control. Samples tested include filter media, membranes, paper, and battery separators. 

  • Pore Size Range: 0.013 - 500 microns
  • Permeability Range: 1 x 10-10 1 x 10-6 (Microflow in cc/sec/m/torr)
  • Sample Size: 0.5" - 2.5" diameter
  • Pressure Range: 0 - 150 PSI
  • Pressurizing Gas: Clean, dry, compressed air or nonflammable, non-corrosive gas
  • Mass Flow Transducer Range: 10 cc/minute - 500 L/minute
